PORTOBELLO BAG sewing pattern & KIT

A new shoulder bag paper pattern from the House of Sewgirl called 'The Portobello Bag' (also available as a digital download on a separate listing).
Suitable for beginners and intermediates this is one fabulously stylish 'Girl About Town' bag that can be easily made in a variety of fabrics.
Make for the autumn/winter season in yummy tweedy wool or maybe some lush corduroy or velvet, with PU leatherette for the base and flap. (Please note that there is soft PU leatherette fabric sold in half metre units on my Etsy shop on a separate listing).
Why not use your favourite patterned cotton fabrics, along with PU or denim fabric for the base and flap. You could even recycle some old jeans or even use pre-loved clothing for a more eco-friendly alternative.
The Portobello bag has an adjustable strap, a lovely twist-lock fastening on the flap, an inside pocket and a cute little tissue holder pattern to use up your leftover fabric.
The bag pattern includes an easy to follow, illustrated booklet and large format, actual size paper templates, to cut out your fabric pieces.
Select from the following options:
Option 1 -pattern only.
Option 2- pattern plus two rectangle rings and one slider for an extra £2.00 in a choice of silver chrome or antique brass.
Option 3 -pattern plus rectangle rings, slider AND a Twist-Lock fastening for an extra £4.00 in a choice of silver chrome or antique brass.                                                    Option 4. KIT -in wool mix check fabric, pleather base, cotton lining - all the trimmings, metal parts, interfacing and includes pattern and Sewgirl label, all packed up in a brown gift bag. Includes post and pack. 

The finished bag measures approx 28cm wide x 30cm deep (11" x 12"), a perfect size for carrying keys, wallet and tissues, everything you need when you are on the go.

Fabric requirements to make the bag and tissue holder include:
40cm (1/2 yard) outer fabric, base fabric and fusible volume fleece (Vilene H640*) or heavy weight fusible interfacing.
30cm ( 1/3 yard) of cotton lining fabric and medium weight fusible interfacing (for the flap only).
Two metal rings and one metal slider buckle 30mm (1 1/4" )*.
One Twist- Lock bag fastening*.
A reel of thread.

* or a tuck lock fastening is also suitable.
Denim fabric in dark and medium indigo is available in half metre units on a separate listing.
