This is a digital pdf download pattern for a Mildred pinafore dress. (If you prefer a hard copy version of this pattern, please see the separate listing).
Mildred is available to make in sizes 8-22 and in long or short lengths (see the chart for finished measurements), slightly A-line in shape with two adjustable button up straps, a whopping front pocket and two cheeky back pockets. Its the perfect garment to wear for working in, due to its practical style, but equally good for lounging about at weekends.
Mildred Pinafore Dress is suitable to be made in cotton, 8oz denim, needlecord or linen/linen mix fabrics, like the one shown and is designed to team up with the Brompton bag or Backback pattern (see separate listing), which would look fabulous made in matching fabric. For fabric suggestions, I supply 8oz denim and linen by the metre (see separate Etsy listing on my shop) which would be perfect for making Mildred.
This is an easy, beginners to dressmaking pattern, which consists of 12 page pattern instructions (view on a computer, tablet or phone or print off if you prefer) and 30 A4 pages of templates, to either print off on your home printer, or at a copy shop. (This sounds like a lot of pages, however, it doesn't take up much ink as the pattern lines are very fine, so its quite economical).
The A4 pages are designed to be trimmed down and slot easily together with a glue stick or sticky tape, full instructions about easy pattern assembly are supplied with the pattern.
Instructions for printing:
When printing off the pdf templates, it is important to ensure that printing is in black and white and at scale actual size i.e. 100%. Please print and check the test square on the first page which should measure 10cm x 10cm, before proceeding to print off the rest of the pattern.
Following purchase of this pdf download, two files will be automatically sent to your email address, one for the instructions and one for the templates.
