This listing is for a digital PDF sewing pattern download version of the Sewgirl Martha skirt.
A versatile project to make a practical and stylish, easy to make skirt in a choice of two lengths.
You can make Martha in one all over fabric (see denim pics), or use a patterned fabric with contrast fabric bands and pockets (see second set of images).
This project is suitable for medium weight fabrics such as cotton, denim, linen and corduroy and contains all sizes from 8-22.
The skirt has two large front pockets and two smaller ones on the back, which, by the way, I think look great with contrast colour topstitching. With a centre back zip, enabling easy adjustment at the side seams if required, you can use a standard or concealed zip if preferred.
The long, calf length version, also has a kick vent opening at the back. The short length version is designed to fall just below the knee.
This lovely sewing pattern is suitable for beginners with some previous sewing experience. Techniques required are inserting a zip, making a dart, sewing hems and attaching patch pockets. Full instructions are given.
The PDF download consists of two files: one for the easy to follow step by step, illustrated instructions which you can save and view on your device or print off if you prefer. The second file contains the pattern templates on A4 sheets, which you can easily print off at home and stick together following the simple instructions.
For size guide and finished garment measurements and fabric requirements please see last image.
Pattern instructions are in English only with metric and imperial measurements.
All files are copyrighted by Fiona Hesford, Sewgirl and must not be passed on to any one else, re-sold, used commercially or opened in photoshop or illustrator. Purchasing and downloading this pdf, you are automatically agreeing to my terms and conditions for personal use only, please read terms and conditions file before using the pattern. Thank you!
