MARGATE SLOUCHY BAG sewing pattern

Here is a fun and easy sewing pattern to make The Sewgirl Margate Slouchy Bag. This zip up holdall is great for holidays or general around town carry all. With two front zip up compartment pockets, useful for carrying tickets and essential items, the bag also has a main compartment with an inner pocket and a wide webbing strap, with adjustable slider and ring.

Suitable for medium weight canvas, denim or upholstery fabric, this bag is designed to be non-structured, so interfacing and lining is not required.  

The pattern consists of an illustrated step by step booklet with paper templates to cut out the bag pieces. The finished bag measures approx. 41cm (16 1/2") wide, 30cm (12") high and a base of 13cm (5"). 

The project requires approx. 1m (1 yard) of fabric to make and one metre of continuous no 5 zipping with three matching sliders. 1.5m (1 1/2 yd) of 4cm (1 1/2") wide webbing, one slider and one rectangle ring or D-ring. Optional extras- a small piece of sew on velcro. Please see the last image for a list of required equipment.
