ELSIE CULOTTES PDF DOWNLOAD PATTERN
A versatile sewing pattern to print off at home on to A4 paper, to make a pair of lovely wide legged trousers available in two lengths: cropped or full length, in sizes 8-22. The pattern download is emailed to you immediately, so you can crack on with your project straight away.
These trouser/culottes would be suitable to make in drapey linen or linen mixes or even bold cotton prints for a holiday project. Other suitable fabrics are soft 6-8oz fluid denims for autumn/ spring or in viscose/polyester type fabrics which, in the long length version, makes a more 'Palazzo pants' style for summer.
These trousers are loose fitting, wide legged, with two big side pockets, flattering front pleats and a wide elasticated back waistband with an optional tie belt with tabs. They are comfortable as well as practical and stylish.
There’s also an optional back pocket add on piece.

Elsie trouser pattern is suitable for adventurous beginners with some previous dressmaking experience. Please note that the instructions are in English only with metric measurements.

The pattern comes with files for:
Step by step photo instructions, size info, garment measurements and fabric requirements. (12 pages of A4 which can be viewed on your phone or tablet to save on printing.
Trouser Front and Waistbands. (20 pages of A4)
Trouser Back, Pockets, Tie belt and tab. (25 pages of A4).

Also included are instructions about downloading, printing and assembling your pattern.

Tip: allow 10-15cm for ease on the finished HIP measurement for a comfortable fit. It’s true to size, I personally make a size 16 (my normal size) for a more snug fit or the next size up for a looser baggier style which I prefer).
