Cecily is a lovely flattering and comfortable boat neck dress which has a bodice with bust darts and skirt pleats on to the waist line. It can be made with short or long sleeves, with an optional side concealed zip (it can be made without a zip as it can easily go over the head), side pocket and optional tie belt. Cecily is suitable for light-medium weight cotton fabrics, 4oz denim, viscose, linen and linen mix fabrics. Please note that Cecily is also available as a hard copy pattern & fabric kit on a separate listing on the Sewgirl shop. Fabrics are also available to buy such as the lightweight denim, viscose prints and cotton poplin.

This pattern is suitable for intermediates, i.e sewers some previous dressmaking experience. You can make it easier by leaving out the side zip. This is a dress that you will make again and again, it looks great made up in bold patterned cotton fabric, as I've done with fabulous African fabric, or just as lovely in simple understated plain linen, denim fabrics or spots and stripes.

Cecily dress sewing pattern comes in sizes 8-22. The size chart for measurements and information about fabric requirements can be seen in the last picture which is included in the pattern.

This downloadable pattern will be automatically sent to you via email attachment. There are two files to download: one includes a templates file with instructions about printing and assembling the pattern to print on A4 sheets of paper. These can be easily trimmed and stuck together to make the large format pattern. The second file contains an instruction booklet which you can download and view on your phone/tablet or laptop if you prefer, this includes all the step by step photos, sizing information and instructions.
