Are you a Girl on the go? I certainly am! When I whizz around town on my mint green bike, I like to be hands free, so I designed this backpack with my own lifestyle in mind and, if you prefer, it can also be a shoulder messenger style bag as the pattern has both options!
This is a gorgeous kit to make either a lined Backpack or shoulder messenger bag in a black denim with flap and inner pocket. The inside lining is in a blue spotty cotton fabric or a snazzy African cotton fabric of your choice, so that when you lift the flap ...wow! you get a flash of the bold print fabric underside.
The finished bag measures 30cm x 30cm (12" x 12" ) with a 4cm (1 3/4") width base.
Brompton Backpack kit comes packed up in a cute brown kraft bag with handles, making it suitable as a gift for any sewing enthusiast.
The straps are adjustable and all the metal bits are included (2 rectangle rings and sliders in antique brass). Also included is the leather buckle magnetic snap fastener to add to the flap as well as interfacing and a hand screen printed label to sew on.
